Do you want to lead our critical operations team?

STACK is hiring a Critical Operations Manager (COM) to our OSL 03 site (Fetsund). This role acts as the leader of the Data Center Critical Operations Team, providing line management for all team members. The role holder will be overseeing the daily operations of our data centers, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and adherence to SLA requirements.

In addition, the COM is the "Professional El. Responsible" for electrical systems at OSL03 Campus, ensuring that electrical installations at all times comply with current regulations and internal guidelines. This requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate teams, manage incidents, and ensure operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the data center campus, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and fulfilment of SLA requirements
• Conduct, organize, and plan daily and weekly routine activities for all mechanical and electrical and other critical infrastructure equipment, ensuring proper execution of scheduled maintenance tasks
• Manage local vendor relationships and scheduling of maintenance, repair, and emergency support activities
• Conduct testing and drills to ensure preparedness for potential disruptions
• Support the team during technical alarms, operational incidents, and extraordinary situations effectively
• Provide guidance, technical expertise, and leadership to the Critical Operations team's continuous development of technical skills while ensuring the team have the appropriate tools, knowledge, and skills required for their tasks
• Maintain and oversee team schedules, including shifts and on-call duties, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements while maintaining all required coverage in compliance with SLA commitments
• Apply standardized processes (incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management) to ensure operational excellence
• Ensure that all operational documentation (e.g., procedures, service reports, maintenance records) is up-to-date, accurate, and properly stored to better support reporting and audit requirements
• Provide input for annual budgets, vendor performance and efficiency without compromising service quality
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including clients and vendors, ensuring a high standard of communication and service delivery

Job Practicalities and Skills

• Trade certificate and/or vocational education degree within Electrical discipline
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers or industrial environments
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to data center facilities management
• Ability to assess, respond to, and resolve technical alarms and operational incidents under high-pressure conditions
• Experience in managing technical teams in a high-performance critical environment, including delegation, mentoring, and general development of the team
• Experience in financial planning, vendor evaluation, and service contract renewals
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions in fast-paced environments
• Service-oriented mindset with a focus on client satisfaction
• Strong written and verbal skills in English and local language (German/Scandinavian/French/Italian languages are a plus)
