Are you ready to take strategic and technical ownership? As a Director of Engineering, you will oversee the full lifecycle of key solutions — from initial concept to global market success — playing a vital role in shaping the future of warehouse automation. 

You will also drive innovation by developing new technologies while ensuring the continued evolution of existing systems. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of R&D, you will have a direct impact on advancing our automation capabilities and strengthening our position in the industry. 

Task and Responsibilities:  

• Engineering Leadership of a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electronics, and embedded systems engineers, providing strategic direction and technical guidance. 
• Design & Development, oversee the creation of new solutions and the refinement of existing ones, managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring progress, budget adherence, and timely delivery. 
• Cross-Functional Collaboration with teams across Project Management, Product Management, Production Engineering, Compliance, Procurement, Documentation, and Software to align engineering efforts with business objectives. 
• Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement, ensure high product standards, regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of innovation, driving efficiency and technical excellence. 
• Agility & Execution by streamlining engineering processes to accelerate development cycles, optimizing time-to-market and maintaining a competitive edge

The ideal candidates will:  

• Bring at least 5+ years of leadership experience, successfully managing multidisciplinary engineering teams. 
• Have higher technical education with expertise in robotics, intelligent software, or related fields. 
• Be well-versed in Serial Production environments, understanding the processes and requirements to efficiently bring products to market. 
• Demonstrate Business Acumen, with the ability to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and contribute to both strategic planning and operational execution. 
• Foster collaboration across departments, driving innovation, accountability, and talent development while creating an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are value.

Location for this role is either in our offices in Oslo, Haugesund,  or in our Headquarters in Nedre Vats. This role has location-specific conditions and is not an expatriate position. This role is not remote.
