The roaming industry is currently undergoing a transformation as (i) new technologies and solutions are introduced, (ii) legacy 2G/3G are going to be sunset. The international IoT business is growing rapidly and the complexity within this area is increasing with new services (e.g. LTE-MT and NB-IoT) deployed with new commercial models. This increases the requirements to support our customers with competence, to identify and detect permanent roaming and IoT analytic capabilities as well as support new commercial models in wholesale roaming.

This development will not only have an impact on Telenor IoT as the main IoT provider in Telenor Group, but all Mobile Network Operators, including Telenor Opcos with more and more international IoT devices in their networks. 

As a Senior M2M Business Manager your main responsibility is to be the expert on IoT wholesale roaming related topics, supporting our customers to carve out and execute to deliver the best Roaming strategy for our customers. You are expected to be a leader in the domain of Roaming and M2M – closely following the market, analyse performance and take action to optimize Telenor’s business.

Your Role:

As a Senior M2M Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the wholesale roaming business for our M2M businesses and Mobile Network Operations.

The wholesale roaming negotiators in Telenor Linx require support from this role when they have IoT commercial conditions in the negotiations with the roaming partner. As a Senior M2M Business Manager you will be responsible for updating the pricing guidelines on wholesale roaming IoT for Telenor Group once year and to make sure that the guidelines are approved and followed.

With the rapid changes in the industry, Telenor Linx will need improved capabilities to detect permanent roamers and IoT devices in our customers' networks, the role is responsible to drive the requirements to get these capabilities in place. The role will also act as an advisor and is expected to support the rest of the teams in Telenor Linx and our Business units in IoT related matters.

To optimize the wholesale roaming IoT business for Telenor Group, it is important that Telenor Linx take an active part in discussions in the wholesale roaming industry related to technology, standards, regulations and commercial models. This is an important part of the responsibility of the role.

The Senior M2M Business Manager will also be responsible Business Manager for Telenor IoT as a customer and align their expectations in terms of outbound cost (unit rates and Access Fees) to support their retail roaming strategy and report the performance during the year.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Set BU targets/forecast in cooperation with Telenor IoT and business units
• Generate and maintain reports, forecasts, and analytics to support decision-making and business planning.
• Support Roaming negotiators in Telenor Linx in negotiations including IoT commercial conditions
• Forecast and align strategies and coordinate execution on commercial and roaming coverage.
• Participate and drive key projects that enhance market competitiveness and business growth.
• Approve and Manage wholesale IoT Discount Deals
• Analyze and clarify issues related to future MIOT business models, contributing to long-term strategic planning.
• Participate in Roaming competence forum within Telenor Group 

What You Bring:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Wholesale Roaming and Business/Account Management.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IoT roaming and telco retail roaming
• Strong analytical skills with experience handling large data sets.
• A track record from working with wholesale Roaming negotiations, roaming services and/or relations
• Familiarity with virtual international teams and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
