Researcher / Senior researcher within Risk and Security department
The Risk and Security department at IFE is a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers conducting applied research in cybersecurity and security management. Our work focuses on sectors such as energy, nuclear, digital sovereignty, air traffic management, defence, and industry.
We collaborate with national and international partners, working on projects funded by the EU, the Norwegian Research Council, industry clients, and the OECD NEA Halden Project. Our team has experience in applied research and consultancy, working on complex digital systems in close collaboration with other IFE departments, both within the Nuclear Technology division where we belong, and IFE Energy division.
We are also responsible for the IFE Cybersecurity Centre, which provides the possibilities to explore both theoretical cybersecurity research and hands-on technical implementation. This facility allows researchers to work with realistic simulations, security testing, and system assessments, supporting both industry and academic research.
For senior researchers, the role includes developing and leading research projects, writing proposals, and forming collaborations with external partners. Senior researchers will also contribute to guiding junior team members and ensuring that projects meet their objectives. We aim to provide an environment where researchers at all levels can develop their expertise, collaborate with others, and contribute to meaningful advancements in cybersecurity.
