Job Description

• Design, size, and specify electrical solutions for systems and equipment on FEED and EPC oil and gas projects.
• Prepare, modify, and review Electrical Design Criteria, Electrical System Philosophy documents, including heat tracing philosophy, earthing and bonding philosophy, power distribution and control philosophy, lighting design philosophy, and startup/shutdown philosophy.
• Prepare, modify, and review electrical drawings such as single-line diagrams, block diagrams, layout drawings, and schedules like electrical load lists, cable schedules, and material take-off lists (MTO).
• Prepare technical specifications, data sheets, and tender documentation for electrical equipment including, but not limited to, UPS, SWBD’s/DB’s, Distribution XTRF’s, electrical motors, and packaged equipment.
• Design and size electrical systems and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, review documentation, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and services.

 

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, particularly in FEED and study projects for topside modifications on offshore oil and gas platforms.
• Extensive experience in electrical package follow-up and area design for oil and gas projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical system and equipment design, especially for LV & MV distribution systems.
• Proficient in electrical calculation tools such as Febdok, TraceCalc, and DiaLux.
• Strong multidisciplinary engineering understanding in the context of FEED/EPC offshore oil and gas projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and standards including NORSOK E-001, IEC 61892, IEC 60079.
• Must have valid FSE and Ex certification.
• Experience with brownfield oil and gas projects and topside modifications.
• Ability to manage high workloads and deliver quality work under pressure.
• Valid offshore certificate for safety during emergency situations for offshore surveys.
