Principal/Professional Engineer Drilling and Well Operations
What does the job involve?
PDP is accountable for the global project development, well deliveries, and sourcing across Equinor.
PDP is organized in the following business clusters: Project Development, Drilling and Well (DW), and Procurement and Supplier Relations.
PDP DW is responsible for planning and execution of drilling and well operations across the Equinor organization. We ensure drilling and well operations are planned and executed in a safe and efficient way according to work processes (WR), work requirements (WR) and technical requirements (TR).
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
- Continue to shape the future of the drilling and well industry.
- Provide the key planning for execution of our activities.
- Support, follow-up and/or oversight of operational activities.
- Analyze data and ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Develop and improve our flexible and future-fit ways of working.
- Work in teams with other disciplines, perform method selection, risk assessment, evaluate and recommend required equipment.
Typical positions we are hiring for are Drilling, Completion, Intervention, P&A and Subsea Engineers.

- Passionate engineers to work in our teams where we plan, support and execute Drilling, Completion and Intervention operations.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering discipline. Relevant experience might compensate for the lack of formal education.
- 3+ years of relevant experience within drilling, completion, intervention or subsea.
- Engineers with enthusiasm and ownership to safety and “passion for performance”.
- Candidates that are flexible and embraces change.
- Openness to our feedback-culture and willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Engineers with good knowledge of IT tools.
- Fluent English skills, both written and verbal.
