Software engineer

We are searching for a SW engineer that want to be a part of the technical team in ZEM. We are looking for a forward leaning, solution driven person that is motivated to take on and solve challenging problems. The position involves contributing to the software department to deliver automation software to marine electrical and hybrid drivetrains. This involves batteries, motor control, power management, HMI etc. You will develop scalable automation solutions as well as custom software as a deliverable to specific projects.

We are a project driven organization that can offer cross disciplinary cooperation between system development, electrical design and automation programming. In ZEM, you will be involved in projects from the initial design phase through commissioning and ultimately to the vessel's full operational status.

Job description:

• Develop automation software for Electric and hybrid marine drivetrains and systems.
• Contribute to developing standardized automation software.
• Do hands on commissioning on our systems.
• Contribute to develop the Software department of an agile young company that is in the lead of the marine transition to battery systems.

Qualification Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Automation, Power Electronics/Power Systems/or similar with specialisation on control.
• Strong knowledge in general programming (PLC, C, C++, Python, or similar).
• Ability to understand and work with complex code.
• Strong collaboration skills.

Preferred:

• Interest in drivetrain systems, motor control, and batteries.
• Ability to do both office work and commissioning.
