We are growing and are searching for a Gas Turbine Engineer to join our team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Gas Turbine Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and hands-on experience with major OEM turbine systems. This role involves execution of upgrade projects from sales to delivery and installation, as well as conducting technical studies to drive innovation and performance improvements.

Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimizing gas turbines to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Additionally, the engineer will work closely with customers, suppliers, and project teams to develop tailored solutions and enhance system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Upgrades

• Oversee control system and turbine package upgrades from sales to installation.

• Ensure solutions meet customer needs and industry standards.

System Design & Technical Studies

• Conduct modernization and obsolescence reviews for turbine and control systems.

• Develop customized solutions, including reverse engineering.

Testing & Validation

• Perform functional and simulation testing before installation.

• Support on-site or offshore implementation.

Customer & Supplier Collaboration

• Work closely with clients and OEM partners to ensure seamless integration.

• Provide technical support and training for system operation.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare technical documentation (P&IDs, wiring diagrams, manuals).

• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• BSc/MSc in Electrical, Automation, Cybernetics, or Mechanical Engineering.

• 5+ years of experience in control systems or gas turbines (oil, gas, or power).

Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in Woodward control systems.

• Experience in PLC/SCADA programming and troubleshooting.

• Experience with LM Gas Turbines is highly preferred.

Problem-Solving & Project Execution

• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and optimization.

• Experience in execution of technical projects.

Communication & Collaboration

• Ability to work with clients, suppliers, and teams across disciplines.

• Strong English and Norwegian communication skills.

Flexibility & Travel

• Willingness to travel nationally/internationally for projects.

• Able to work independently and in teams in time-sensitive environments.
