Product Advisor - HUGIN AUVs

Kongsberg Discovery is growing, and we want you to be part of our journey. Join us as Product Advisor for HUGIN AUVs in the Uncrewed Platform division. In this role, you will play a part in developing cutting edge autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) the HUGIN AUVs.

For decades, HUGIN AUVs have been the worlds foremost autonomous underwater vehicles. Kongsberg Discovery offers a range of HUGIN AUVs from the brand new HUGIN Edge, a medium AUV due to be delivered in 2026, to our deep water AUVs operating at depths down to 6000 meters, and to the large HUGIN Endurance, which has operated autonomously for 16 days.

As a Product Advisor, you will be part of our dedicated team responsible for all our uncrewed solutions. You will play a crucial role in product development and lifecycle management, leveraging technical expertise and insights from customers, sales, customer support, R&D, and AUV production

To succeed in this position, you need to be proactive, cooperative, responsible, structured, and quality-minded. The role requires some travel, including conferences, customer visits, and exhibitions. Occasionally, you may join our operators and customers in the field. Most importantly, you should be curious and eager to learn about the various technical and non-technical fields essential for building the best AUVs in the world.

What you will be doing

• Provide product assistance to various departments such as sales, customer service, procurement, and R&D.
• Act as a hub within our organization, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
• Apply your technical skills where they add the most value.
• Assist with product management and life cycle support
• Oversee development of new products, functionality, and features
• Be the voice of the Customer in projects and processes

Qualifications and experience 

• Strong understanding of technical components and systems. 
• Bachelors degree in a technical subject or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with maritime sector projects or products, focusing on component and systems integration. 
• Fluency in spoken and written English; fluency in Norwegian is a plus.
