Skuld is now looking for an experienced claims handler to strengthen our team in Oslo.

The position is based in Oslo.

Your responsibilities

In this position you will

• Handle claims within all aspects of P&I operations, in particular container claims.
• Handle casualties and complex, high value claims
• Build strong relations with Members, Clients and Brokers
• Promote Skuld in the market and participate in marketing efforts
• Suggest and initiate loss prevention measures
• Continuously observe and report developing claims trends, monitor legal and regulatory developments and relevant industry activities
• Contribute to a friendly, open, and trusting work environment

Qualifications:

• Master of Law (English or Norwegian law) and /or at least 7-10 years of relevant work experience
• Preferably English solicitor, alternatively other jurisdictional background and have worked extensively with English law.
• Ability to lead cases of high complexity, with in-depth expertise preferably with container and charterers business
• Capability to mentor and support colleagues who have less experience
• Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
