Onsite IT Supporter
Do you enjoy talking on the phone and being the problem solver for all internal IT issues and at the same time enjoying being on the go? Do you have a good overview and a service-oriented approach? Then you may be the IT supporter we are looking for to join our Service Management team in NorwayYou will be a part of a Nordic support team in the Digital organization at Ahlsell Group.You will become part of a Nordic Service Management team, where you have 14 skilled and dedicated colleagues in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway, who support all employees and sites in the Nordic region with various IT tasks that may arise in a complex organization.
First line is outsourced to a partner, and part of the Service Management teams work is to enable them to cover the most frequent questions and tasks. As part of the Service Management team, you will act as 2nd level supporter, and the tasks are very varied both in category and in complexity, and your workday in the team is never boring or monotonous. There is plenty of drive in the team, fast-paced tasks with many challenges, and scope for development.
As an IT supporter, you will receive personal inquiries during regular office hours, answer telephone calls, respond and resolve tickets (via our Service Management tool ServiceNow), receive returned IT equipment, update system accesses when employees resign etc.Since the position also includes onsite support, there will be a significant amount of travel activity. Primarily in Norway, but Nordic assignments may occasionally occur.Your office will be at an Ahlsell location in the Oslo area to ensure the fastest response to the majority of Ahlsells sites.Service-minded and helpfulYou have experience in IT support from a similar position and preferably also have previous experience in customer service, which has given you good experience in dealing with various inquiries and 'customers'.You are used to communicating with non-technical colleagues, in both Norwegian and English, and can quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks so that they are categorized and resolved most efficiently. You naturally take a high degree of independent responsibility for your tasks, and you are, of course, helpful and service minded.
Key Responsibilities:
• Onsite supporting Ahlsells sites in Norway. Company car is provided.
• Responding to user inquiries via phone, email, or in person in a timely and polite manner
• Troubleshooting technical issues, including hardware and software problems, networking issues, and printer issues
• Resolving IT problems according to ITIL framework and procedures
• Escalating issues to appropriate parties, when necessary
• Assisting with the setup and management of user accounts
• Maintaining accurate records of all IT requests and resolutions
• Keeping knowledge of technological updates and advancements
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not required to apply for the position
• Previous experience with ITIL is highly desirable and familiar with Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.
• In this role, you will need good skills in Norwegian and English, both in speech and writing
.• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• High knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft M365, PC hardware, network and printers
• Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
• Ability to prioritize the most critical items first, and communicate to those that will have to wait
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
• Driving License (min. cat. B)
