Task and responsibilities
- Be responsible for discipline follow-up of contractor’s detail design, including review of relevant documents, contribute with discipline expertise at reviews, follow up NCRs, TQs, maintain TR2000 for the project, and contribute to follow up of third party verification.
- Be responsible for follow-up of relevant contractor’s procurement packages, including qualification of potential suppliers and ensuring delivery in accordance with company’s and interface contractor’s requirements.
- Ensure discipline delivery is achieved with highest HSE standard and lowest practicable levelised cost of electricity (LCOE) supporting a safe and efficient fabrication, commissioning, and maintenance of the plant.
- Lead the Piping&Layout discipline in the project.
- Ensure company’s requirements, interfacing contractor’s requirements, best practice and past experience are incorporated into the design.
- Collaborate with and use the experience within the technical and leading advisors.
- Follow up and ensure 3D model delivery by contractor is in accordance with project requirements and support company’s expectation of digital twin.
- Travel to follow up contractor may be expected.
Competence requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Science within mechanical or civil engineering with minimum 5-7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience from engineering within piping, layout and material handling, and field experience.
- Fabrication experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of DNV-ST-0145 and relevant standards, e.g., ASME B31.3 are an advantage.
- Project development experience, preferably from offshore wind.
- Good multidiscipline and interface understanding of a variety of process and utilities systems.
- Good communication skills for external and internal stakeholder management.
- Team player, eager to work in multi-disciplinary team and dynamic project conditions.
- Working experience of AVEVA E3D and different AVEVA applications.
- Working experience of AutoCAD or similar for the production of conceptual 2D layouts.
- Strong HSE in design focus.
