Senior Software Engineer

Our customer in Oslo is looking for a Senior SW Engineer. In this role, you will research, design and develop programs for 3D measurement instruments. Participate in requirements analysis, develop system architectures, and develop signal and image processing technology systems. Your responsibilities will include design, development and analysis of systems and algorithms for the processing of information from range and image sensors.

What you do

• Develop and optimize algorithms for LiDAR data processing, including point cloud filtering, segmentation, and feature extraction.

• Implement and integrate LiDAR image processing techniques, such as image registration, stitching, and 3D reconstruction.

• Lead the implementation and integration of state-of-the-art LiDAR image processing techniques, such as image registration, stitching, and 3D reconstruction.

• Develop programs for data reduction chain, optimizing measurements accuracy and geometrical calibration.

• Responsible for specification, development, test and documentation of software.

What you bring to the team

• Minimum 3 years of recent C/C++ programming experience.

• Bachelor/ Master in one of the areas Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied physics, Measurement Technology or equivalent.

• Proficiency in programming languages C / C++ for real time hardware near embedded programming under tight constraints on computing power and memory footprint.

• Familiar with signal processing principles, data acquisition and processing tools.

• Analysis of real time data and evaluation of data reduction methods

• Design of mathematical models of real-world systems and experience with fitting model parameters

• Excellent English interpersonal and written/verbal skills

• Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities

• Strong analytical abilities (root cause).
