COWI is a global consulting engineering firm with around 1,200 team members in Norway, known for its significant contributions to the transportation industry. Our Executing Unit for Transportation includes the Transport and Spatial Planning department. This department consists of about 150 employees spread across six disciplines, of which two are related to roads. Here, you will work on everything from large-scale road development projects to local planning tasks in defined areas. Our services ensure technically feasible solutions and economically sound projects. Currently we are working with project such as Bergen Bybane, Bodø Lufthavn and E39 Mandal - Blørstad.
Discipline Roads 1 has employees located in Oslo and Fredrikstad, and Roads 2 has employees located in Kristiansand, Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim. The disciplines are part of the same professional network, and the employees collaborate on many projects. Both disciplines are knowledgeable and social groups of both younger and senior professionals. With exciting projects, employees contribute to their workdays and development, which is regularly monitored. We maintain a safe and positive work environment that we highly value.
In this position, you will be part of our large team of engineers and other specialists, working closely with other disciplines within COWI.

Your key responsibilities will be:
* Model-based road and street design
* Coordination and collaboration with other disciplines, possibly also with discipline leadership
* Preparation of bid documentation descriptions in accordance with NS 3420 or the process code
* Follow-up during the construction phase
* Development work on processes and methods for design

You should have a good ability for holistic thinking and possess effective collaboration and communication skills. You work in a structured and methodical way and enjoy sharing knowledge and building professional skills in road planning.

Additionally, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
* Solid understanding of road engineering with project experience within detailed design
* Familiarity with other software platforms and design tools
* Good understanding of relevant working methods and processes regarding model use, the technical aspects of modeling, and necessary interdisciplinary collaboration
* Experience with contractors or total contracts
* Innovative capability and a desire to be in technological development
* A focus on needs-driven/customer-centric innovation rather than technology-driven innovation
* Daily communication with colleagues and customers primarily takes place in Norwegian, but the company language is English. Good English skills
