Application management is part of IT operations within the Digital Execution & Technology business units in Aker BP.
We are looking for Application Manager for the LCI portfolio. This position will work closely with the Application Service Manager for Operations portfolio. The LCI portfolio consists of around 40 applications and OPEX budget is around 60-80 million NOK. The Application manager will be functionally responsible for the daily management of the portfolio, including operations, governance, engineering and have the end-to-end functional responsibility for the service life cycle. The application manager reports functionally to the Application Service Manager - OPS, providing support for the management of the LCI portfolio.
Typical work tasks can be:
Coordinate application management with team from service provider (TietoEvry).
Coordinate LCI service management team from Bouvet.
Participates in strategy and roadmap development by liaising with System Owners, Vendors and Suppliers as well as Architects to capture changes in applications, requirements and the business, ensuring the portfolio roadmaps are updated.
Provide a focus on application portfolio goals, including maintaining, improving, modernising, decommissioning, and transforming.
Directs activities related to release coordination, end-user communications, reporting, optimising licensing, and maintaining technology roadmaps.
Skills and qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education.
Minimum of 3 years managing applications, systems and processes.
It is preferred that the candidate have professional experience related to LCI domain.
Experience with vendor mgmt., including responsibility for following up on contracts and vendor performance.
Customer-focused mindset and strong ability to plan and prioritize.
Fluent in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
