Kongsberg Maritime wants to hire a Product Manager AC Switchgear

On behalf of our client, Jemco Executive AS are in the search for an individual as Product Manager AC Switchboard. This is an exciting opportunity has arisen as Product Manager AC Switchboard, reporting to the director of Drives, Rotating and Switchboardin the Integration & Energy division in Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be a part of the Drives, Rotating and Switchboard leadership team. You will lead a product team and be responsible for the profitability and lifecycle management for our Marine AC Switchboard product line.

As the Product Manager you are in the front row of the green shift within the energy division in Kongsberg Maritime. In this strategically prioritized growth area, you will be part of an exciting journey to shape the maritime future. You will be in the driver’s seat forming the product strategy in your domain.

You will lead a team of experienced and motivated engineers in the areas of electrical, mechanical and application design. The Switchboard team has an end-to-end responsibility from sales to service and the product management function is vital to enable the right focus throughout the complete product life cycle. The product range includes low and medium/high voltage AC switchboards. We deliver from inhouse as well as third party manufacturers in Europe and Asia for the global market.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product lifecycle and profitability in our global operation

• Lead and inspire the product team

• Build a strong Switchboard ecosystem to utilize our full potential as a global company

• Develop new and maintain existing line of Marine AC switchboards

• Responsible for sales support and follow up on suppliers of 3rd party equipment

• Identifying potential project risks, assessing their impact, and reach out to necessary stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies

• Lead the switchboard team and bring the product portfolio into next digital generation

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor or Master of Science in relevant field

• Experience from or willing to take leadership as line manager, project manager or team leader

• Preferably experience from managing product or development projects

• Good knowledge about Switchboard mainly in the range 380-690V AC, but also medium voltage up to 13,5kV

• Good knowledge about relevant standards and class rules

• Experience from switchboard engineering, manufacturing and delivery

• Experience with protection units for low and medium voltage systems

• Preferably experience with software tools for switchboard engineering

• A commercial and strategic mindset to develop the Kongsberg business in the electrical field
