Buyer – Subsea Project Procurement
Jefferson Wells is now looking for a motivated and ambitious Buyer for a leading player within the Subsea industry. For this assignment, we are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic, multicultural environment and is eager to contribute to complex project deliveries. Experience or education within engineering, procurement, logistics or economics is preferred, but we also welcome recent graduates with the right mindset.
You will be part of the Norway Project Procurement team and work closely with a Lead Buyer as your mentor. The role is central in ensuring that all equipment and services required for offshore installation projects are delivered on time, to the right quality, and within budget. If you want to be close to the action and have a direct impact on project finances and execution – this is the role for you.
Tasks and Responsibilities

Participate in, and eventually lead, inquiries, bid clarifications, tender evaluations and supplier selection.

Understand and explore project cost drivers and provide input for sound decision making.

Identify and qualify new suppliers according to the company’s Supplier Quality Policy.

Negotiate and follow up procurement activities with subcontractors.

Draft and manage subcontracts, covering technical, commercial and contractual scopes.

Handle subcontract administration, including invoice management, reporting, scope and cost control, certification handling and formal project close-out.

Maintain all purchase orders in the ERP system.

Ensure timely delivery of goods and services for offshore vessel operations.
Background and Qualifications

Higher education within engineering, contracts, procurement, logistics or economics.

Strong drive to explore advanced Supply Chain activities with the ability to take initiative and work independently – with support when needed.

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Ability to perform under pressure and manage a high workload.

Commercial mindset with a passion for negotiation and continuous improvement.

Analytical, structured, and self-driven.

Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills.

Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
