As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Piping Test Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
The project is led from Stord.
This is NOT a rotation.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
Design check for testing
Define the testing scope
Prepare test isometrics
Prepare work orders according to test activities
Be responsible for the quality and punctuality of own deliveries based on plans and procedures/routines established in the project
Contribute to the improvement of procedures and routine in the testing group
Point out any errors in the preceding delivery, in consultation with the Discipline Lead in the project.
Point out any errors in procedures and plan schedule, this in consultation with the supervisor of the project
Provide input on the SOW for subcontracting
Break down the testing scope in manageable test based on the fabrication method, commissioning boundary and P&ID's
Establish and follow up systems, procedures and routine for testing
Report status
Focus on quality of product
Gather lessons learned from previous projects and ensure implementation
Contribute with Continual improvements work
Qualifications we think you should have:
Technical college or engineering degree with 3 years’ experience in hydro testing of pipework
Good IT skills
Experience with pressure testing and cleaning of piping systems.
Good knowledge of P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) drawings.
Active and solution oriented
Good knowledge within hydro testing of pipework
Experience with MIPS and E3D
Knowledge of Blubeam software
Fluency in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written.
