As an IS Security Senior Engineer you will design, implement and manage the Information Security aspect of the TMS product to ensure the operation requirements are secured. You will work in close collaboration with the Service Delivery Manager and Project Security Manager, and you will deal with monitoring system, IT service management system, configuration, asset, incident, vulnerability and user management system.

In this role, your key responsibilities will be to:
Support the delivery of the Service and Security requirements
Work with the Service Delivery Manager and Project Security Manager as well as DevOps to identify improvement opportunities
Cooperate with Project Security and Security Engineering to have a comprehensive understanding of the security requirements and ensure they are fulfilled
Lead and take responsibility for security best practices
Participate in incident response activities, the detection, containment, and eradication efforts of information security incidents as well as the restoration of affected systems
Update and provide guidance for incident response procedures
Oversee security event monitoring, threat management, threat modeling, identifying threat vectors and developing rules and use cases for security monitoring. Creating and updating reports, dashboards, and metrics for Security Monitoring
Closely work on vulnerability assessment and analysis and follow up derived activities
Write and update documentation related to security processes and procedures
Maintaining security mechanisms and features
Organize and manage penetration testing tools and activities
To be qualified for this role, you need to have the following qualifications and experience:
Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Min. 5 years’ experience as Security Engineer or 7 years’ experience as Security Analyst
Full overview of the cyber security, patch management, incident response, preventive and corrective action
Extensive performance reporting
Extensive knowledge within vulnerability monitoring
Fluency in English, written and spoken, Norwegian is a plus
Please also note that this position may require formal security clearance in accordance with the Norwegian Security Act (sikkerhetsloven).
What we expect:
You have the ability to work independently and have a proactive service mindset
You are familiar with commonly used information security concepts, best practices, and standard procedures
You work well under pressure in a continually changing fast paced environment
You enjoy working in a collaborating environment
You have experience with SIEM (Security Information Event Management)
You have experience in other areas of Cybersecurity, such as penetration testing and Security Operation Center (SOC)
Understanding of international security frameworks, their implementation and usage (NIST, ISO, etc.)
