Commercial/Subcontract Coordinator
Jefferson Wells is now looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial/Subcontract Coordinator to join a major project within the oil & gas industry. The position requires fluency in Norwegian and experience with subcontracting in complex projects. You will be employed by Jefferson Wells and assigned to a long-term engagement with one of our clients in Asker.
This is a full-time position planned to start in May 2025 and run through June 2026, as part of the Snøhvit Future Project EPCI.
Tasks and Responsibilities
As Commercial/Subcontract Coordinator, you will be part of the Field Development organization, supporting project execution by ensuring efficient and compliant subcontractor management.
Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating subcontractor activities to align with project requirements

Acting as a key advisor on subcontract matters for project management and internal stakeholders

Leading Subcontract Awareness sessions to ensure alignment and understanding

Identifying opportunities for optimizing subcontractor utilization and cost-efficiency

Preparing, negotiating, and managing subcontract amendments and variations (VO/VOR)
-
Collaborating with legal teams to ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory frameworks
Background and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business administration or legal studies

A minimum of 2 years’ experience with subcontracting in areas such as:
-
Scaffolding
-
Surface touch-up
-
Insulation
-
Architectural work on substations
-
Prefabrication of structures
-
Lifting services, weighing, load-out and power supply
-
In addition, you must:

Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing
-
Thrive in collaborative environments with a team-oriented mindset

Work independently and systematically, with great attention to detail

Be proactive, reliable, and committed to deadlines and quality standards

Be fluent in Norwegian, both spoken and written
