Senior Technical Support Engineer (maternity cover)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our Technology Department to cover a period of maternity leave (12 months as from June 2025). As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader within the Service Desk team being a bridge to both the Workplace Technologies and Network Security teams. This role requires both advanced technical expertise and business analysis skills to drive service improvements and resolve complex technical challenges.
This senior position offers an exciting opportunity for you to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to make a significant impact across our technology landscape. You are a strong problem-solver, enjoy engaging with staff across the organisation and external vendors, possess excellent communication skills, work independently and proactively with a passion for continuously improving service delivery. As a bridge, you will be identifying and delivering opportunities for technology improvements while working on support incidents and cross team projects delivered directly to the Workplace Technologies, and Network Security teams.
You will join the global Service Desk team in Oslo office, and report to the Head of Service Desk in London.
What you will do
Lead complex technical support initiatives and serve as an escalation point for challenging issues that require advanced troubleshooting
Collaborate with Workplace Technologies and Network Security teams to implement and maintain robust technical solutions
Conduct business analysis to identify process improvements and technology enhancements that align with organisational needs
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Service Desk team members
Develop and maintain documentation for technical processes and solutions
Manage and oversee critical incident responses, including coordinating resources and communicating with stakeholders
Contribute to strategic planning for service desk operations and technology infrastructure
Lead projects related to service improvements, technology deployments, and security enhancements
Analyse support metrics and trends to identify opportunities for proactive solutions
What you need
8+ years of experience in technical support or IT operations, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
Strong technical knowledge of enterprise IT environments, including Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Microsoft Intune and networking
Experience with business analysis methodologies and process improvement
Understanding of ITIL framework and IT service management principles
Knowledge of network security concepts and best practices
Project management experience with demonstrated success in leading technical initiatives
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
Relevant technical certifications (MCSA, CompTIA, ITIL) are a plus
Mac support knowledge is an advantage
Excellent communication skills in English

Work Schedule
Candidates will complete 8-hour daily shifts during core working hours, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00AM CET and 6:00PM CET. As such, there will be an occasional requirement to work onsite shift patterns on rotation with the wider team to cover trading hours during weekdays. Candidates should be willing to work outside of core hours in a shift model and willing to be on-call over the weekend and holidays.
