We are seeking an experienced and committed Senior Purchaser to join our team in Tønsberg. In this key role, you will be an integral part of the project team, responsible for driving the execution of major technical procurements. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable insight and take ownership of critical procurement processes, while collaborating closely with colleagues across disciplines to ensure successful project deliveries.

Key responsibilities:

• Be the go-to contact for both project teams and suppliers, driving smooth and effective procurement of technical equipment and services.

• Lead RFQ processes that align with company strategies and deliver competitive results.

• Own the flow of procurement activities—from handling requests and documentation to ensuring compliance and managing purchase orders.

• Stay on top of supplier performance to secure the right quality, quantity, and on-time deliveries.

• Tackle non-conformances and other deviations head-on, working with suppliers to resolve issues and reduce operational impact.

• Share your expertise and elevate the team by contributing to knowledge-sharing and best practices.

• Keep purchase orders and invoicing on track—follow up, process, and certify with precision.

• Partner closely with project teams to align procurement efforts with project needs and ensure successful execution.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain, Economics, Business Administration, International Business, Business Law, Finance or a related field.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement or purchasing – ideally with a technical edge.

• Proven negotiation skills and a sharp eye for supplier evaluation.

• Solid technical know-how and confidence in assessing specs for goods and services, especially when it comes to technical purchases.

• A good grasp of production processes and how procurement fits into the bigger picture.

• You’re structured, self-driven, and always looking for solutions.

• Skilled at planning and managing complex processes from start to finish.

• Comfortable navigating ERP systems and a confident user of MS Office.

• Clear and professional communicator in English, both written and spoken.
