NOV is recruiting for a Technical Planning Analyst to join our team in Søgne. This is an operational role where you will play a key part in ensuring that our workshop has the necessary parts to maintain efficient operations and delivery. You will work closely with the Repair Management team, Repair Technicians and Project Managers to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
You will also be a part of a global Procurement team, reporting to the Procurement Manager based in Montrose, Scotland. As part of the team you will support with analysis by capturing forecasted demands across various business lines to identify, shortlist, select, and acquire suitable goods or services from within NOV globally or third-party vendors. You will ensure timely delivery of quality materials while maintaining supplier relationships and strategically expanding NOV’s supplier base through market research.

Key Responsibilities:
Support procurement and planning to ensure the timely availability of workshop parts.
Request vendor quotes, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Analyse, monitor, and report supply-demand imbalance and develop strategies to ensure steady and time-phased materials supply.
Collaborate with production planning teams to ensure the ERP data integrity necessary for effective materials and parts planning
Place and manage purchase orders, maintaining a balance between supply and demand.
Monitor vendor performance, resolve procurement issues, and coordinate deliveries.
Periodically analyse inventory levels and determine strategies to optimize them for effective working capital management
Collaborate with internal teams to optimize procurement and supply chain processes.
Follow up with vendors and suppliers regarding goods and service procurement and update production teams about delivery date changes when vendor PO due dates are rescheduled.
Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Analyze costs and supplier data to drive efficiency improvements.
Support the development of improved end-to-end supply chain processes
Coordinate with global NOV locations to fulfill unmet goods demand.
Identify potential bottlenecks and implement procurement strategies that support the company goals and long-term outsourcing objectives
Develop strong supplier relationships and explore market opportunities for vendor expansion.
Cleanse and transform unformatted, duplicate, incomplete, or outlier data by working with stakeholders to ensure deliverables are in alignment with business needs
Assist in writing standardized processes, procedures, work instructions, and business policies
Qualifications:
Essential:
Technical understanding, either gained through mechanical or electrical hands-on experience or technical education.
The ability to read drawings and understand specifications in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and understanding of ERP systems.
Good communications skills in English and Norwegian.
Desired:
Experience in contract negotiations and procurement processes within a manufacturing setting.
Experience with vendor capability evaluation.
Understanding of supply chain fundamentals and data visualization.
APICS CPIM, CSCP certification or in process
