International role as System Engineer based in Norway
This position is a team member of the system engineering group, which is responsible for designing and implementing the industrial automation systems for Transport & Logistics. This role focuses in particular on the design, configure and commissioning of barcode reading solutions, in addition to other system engineering activities. The role requires extensive travel to customer sites and to Mettler-Toledo locations. The position reports to Head of R&D.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build system layout, interface, configuration and calibration of the products.
- Install and setup of dimensioners, barcode readers, sensors and machine vision systems.
- Responsible for directing and coordinating system design reviews in conjunction with the stakeholders.
- Act as the subject matter expert in the features and applications of assigned products including hands-on work at competitive run-offs and strategic opportunities.
- Defining material list matrix in conjunction with supply chain.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in electro mechanical design and commissioning in logistics.
- Experience in industrial automation, auto ID / barcode reading solutions.
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience.
Education:
- Bachelor / Masters Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

- Strong sense of responsibility. Sets goals and manages priorities; can be relied upon to delivery on what is planned.
