FIELD SUPERVISOR NORWAY - BENEFIT COSMETICS
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Nordic Country Manager, the Field Supervisor Norway will:
• Build, drive and grow the retail business across agreed stores where Benefit is implemented by setting the highest standard and example and leading from the front
• Achieve high personal productivity whilst inspiring his/her team as well as the retailer’s
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail Sales (20%)
- Monitor weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly target performance to ensure that the business is moving forward.
- To look for opportunities to increase business, creating opportunities when business is slow.
- To be a great sales person and lead all other staff members by example creating the ‘Benefit magic’ on the shop floor every time you are in store
- Understand, adhere to and promote the Benefit Business Model among all partners. Ensure its continuous application in all areas.
Management (20%)
- To manage Brow Experts by leading by example and coaching them to develop their retail sales and service productivity
- Maintain regular contact with the retailers’ teams, when not present in their stores, preferably once per week.
- Identify any additional recruitment needs and work together with the Nordic Country Manager to solve efficiently.
Customer activity / Promotions / Events (25%)
- Work with, help and encourage all Store Managers and their teams to create excitement on the gondola/in store by organising additional activities and/or product focuses on a regular basis.
- Ability to create and implement thoughtful action plans when launching new products or supporting business opportunities.
- Use your experience and knowledge of stores to suggest business building ideas and events
- Encourage teams to link up with local businesses to promote outside events and demonstrations in order to attract ‘new business’ to Benefit.
- You must participate actively to all the retailers’ events: VIP evenings, new store openings, etc
Training (25%)
- Consistent follow-up that all staff are trained in and applying the Benefit ABC magic formula, at all times.
- You should train and coach your BrowBar teams on a regular basis
- You should visit and train retailer staff before any store opening.
- Identify needs for additional blended or committed training sessions in each store and implement where possible with Training Supervisor
Stock & Merchandising (10%)
- Ensure that Benefit remain in stock of all products at all times in every store through early warning of any potential out of stocks with particular reference to the Top 20 selling products.
- Ensure that the visual imagery of the gondola merchandising and display also reflects our current focus.
People Relationship
- Establish, develop and maintain a strong, unique & fun working relationship with all Benefit staff, as well as Retailer Store Managers and Beauty Artists.
- If there are performance issues with your BrowBar staff react quickly and liaise with them, ensuring that your feedback is qualitative and quantitative
- Take advantage of our common values with the retailers to share as much as possible and get involved in all their corporate events
PRINCIPLE DATA
- Reports to the Nordic Country Manager.
- Position based in Oslo but travelling is required and expected 50% to 70% of the time
- Will manage and lead business in agreed stores, and help supervise the Benefit BrowBar Employees
- The working week is Tuesday to Saturday (2 Saturdays by month minimum). Flexibility to work non-traditional working hours including evenings, holidays and occasional overtime required.
- Position offered is permanent.
- Starting date: August 2024
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales management within retail or cosmetics industry, or otherwise relevant experience
- Proven track record in people management, coaching, sales development and ability to achieve goals
- Passion for Benefit, our brand DNA and products, and the ability to communicate this passion to our staff and retail partners.
- Ability to travel frequently
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office packages
- Experience in developing commercial relationships
- Good commercial awareness and business acumen
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong planning and organisation skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to motivate others and lead a team
- Flexible to change in a fast-paced environment
- High energy level, assertiveness and confidence
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) as well as Danish or Swedish
