Would you like to make a change in renewable energy?
Roughly 60 percent of global energy consumption is lost as waste heat. This represents a huge energy recovery potential.
TEGma has the solution to solve this and has delivered several full-scale commercial thermoelectric waste heat recovery systems.
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer at TEGma, you will play a key role in overseeing mechanical design and engineering projects from concept through completion.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Performing calculations and mechanical analyses (e.g., pressure-related calculations)
- Preparing technical drawings
- Continuously working on incremental improvements to the mechanical system
- Evaluating materials and components to ensure optimal performance, durability and cost
- Ensuring all designs and products comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements
- Developing new standardized solutions
- Follow up of the production with regards to quality and specifications
- Collaborate internally, with customers, suppliers, and class societies to understand requirements and deliver competitive solutions
Qualifications:
- For this role, we are looking for a candidate with a minimum of three to five years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Ideally, the candidate has experience in the oil, gas, or maritime sector, as these industries often adhere to stricter requirements than land-based operations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
To succeed in the role we believe you are flexible, proactive and solution oriented. As a part of a scale up you must be willing to take on a broad range of tasks and you must also like to be in a company in rapid growth with continuous changes.
Your primary workplace will be at TEGma's new facilities at Tranby. Business travel is limited, but you can expect some trips to suppliers and customers for follow-up. In this role, you will report directly to the Project Director.
As an employee at TEGma, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of renewable and sustainable solutions for the future. You will join a dynamic and inspiring work environment with dedicated colleagues who share your passion for technology and innovation.
As the new Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will take on a leading role in an exciting industry with great opportunities for personal and professional growth.
