We are now looking for Senior Vice President (SVP) – Power Grid who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission.
The Senior Vice President (SVP) is commercially focused and accountable for maximising the value creation for a given portfolio (i.e. a specified set of products), from product planning to product marketing. This includes managing the products throughout the product lifecycle, defining product vision and strategy, gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, and working closely with development, to deliver fast growing and scalable products with high quality for an international market.
The SVP holds profit & loss (P&L) accountability for the portfolio, and must ensure it is developed in line with Volues Strategy and values. Success is measured in: recurring revenue; profitability; adoption rate, scalability and new market penetration, customer satisfaction, and quality and security in the products in accordance with Volue standards. It is paramount that roadmaps and clearly defined go-to-market plans are developed, maintained and communicated with internal and external stakeholders.
The SVP leads product-focused teams consisting of direct reports, and orchestrates the wider product network of functions and teams necessary to develop, sell, deliver and grow the market reach. The expected results are set by the yearly action plans.
This role is highly visible and key in enabling the functional teams to deliver what is required for the product line to be successful. Therefore, it is critical that the SVP maintains strong internal relationships with Sales, Marketing, Development, Delivery, Finance & Strategy. The SVP is a key stakeholder and customer of common business support functions within the group.
Within this role you will:
- Be the strategic and commercial driver for the product line and ensure the product economy (profit & loss) for the products is in line with financial targets.
- Develop and drive product strategies in line with the corporate strategy and mission, and continuously update and execute on go-to-market-plans to ensure products are effectively delivered to the market.
- Get alignment and engagement from relevant stakeholders and evolve the business and pricing models, securing revenues and ensuring cost control.
- Drive the product team's effort form product planning to product marketing and cooperate with functional leaders to identify and implement improvement initiatives where necessary.
- Ensure that new and existing products and services offered are based on qualified business cases, thorough market research with focused product scope, excellent user experience and clear value proposition, and are in compliance with the Volue quality system.
- Provide executive sponsorship to strategic customer relationships. Build relationships with potential customers and keep close contact with existing customers to ensure Volue maintains relevant insight to market trends, industry needs and customer expectations. Keep overview of the competitive landscape for the product line and continuously evaluate new market positions for further growth.
- Ensure the product line is run with defined proxies, that monthly Product Network meetings and business reviews drive outcomes and elevate and address operational challenges in order to be commercially successful.
- Take part in the Extended Leadership Team (XLT) to ensure Volue is able to take and implement decisions supporting the overall strategy and mission for the company as a whole.
What you need to succeed:
Education:
- Bachelor degree or higher in a commercial or technical field of studies is preferred
Experience:
- Extensive experience from relevant industry domain
- Experience with profit and loss accountability, and preferably with sales and business development
- Experience in managing software products across the product lifecycle
Personal skills:
- Strong commercial mindset
- Structured, self-starting and with high implementation capacity
- Able to perform during demanding periods and prioritise on both short- and long-term
- Leadership skills and ability to cooperate with people of diverse profiles and levels of experience
- Courage to sign up for results, even when this means you have to work through others to achieve the necessary outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Externally focused, eager to engage with others, and confident speaking in front of groups
- Ability to coach and lead team members
