VP of Engineering

Aritma is a fast-growing Fintech company headquartered in Bergen, experiencing significant demand for our products. As we continue to scale, we need a dedicated VP of Engineering to lead our team of tech leads and engineers, ensuring excellence in both product development and team management.

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding our engineers, overseeing compliance, and driving the success of our technology strategy. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead our engineering team, shaping the technical direction, development, and delivery of our products.
• Align engineering initiatives with overall business objectives and ensure seamless scaling.
• Innovate and improve engineering processes, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal engineering policies and routines, overseeing best practices in governance and security.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as product and design to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Manage engineering budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources as we scale.
• Provide leadership on architecture, technical debt management, and best coding practices.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with all tech leads and take ownership of the development and retention of our engineers.
• Lead recruitment efforts, develop, and retain top engineering talent.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in a senior engineering leadership role, such as VP of Engineering or Head of Engineering.
• A strong technical background with expertise in scalable systems, architecture, and modern development practices.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Strong experience in establishing and enforcing engineering compliance policies and processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Experience with budget management and scaling tech teams in a fast-growing company.
• In-depth understanding of Agile, Lean, and other development methodologies.
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
