Tom Wood is a Norwegian jewellery house founded in 2013 by Mona Jensen, and our Company consists of 55 employees across Oslo, Tokyo, and Barcelona.
Rooted in Scandinavian aesthetic principles of innovation and functionality, our jewellery house is known for its contemporary and distinctive design. With a commitment to responsible practices and quality, jewellery from Tom Wood is crafted to last a long time with the lowest environmental impact as possible.
As we continue on our growth journey, we are now strengthening our team with a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
About the role
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on CMO to lead Tom Wood’s global Marketing and PR efforts. This pivotal role will shape our brand’s impact and drive our growth into the future. You will lead high-impact campaigns, maintain a cohesive brand narrative, and nurse key partnerships to elevate Tom Wood’s presence in both established and emerging markets.
Working closely with the CEO, Creative Director, CCO and senior leadership, you will guide our Marketing and PR teams in delivering bold, innovative strategies that deepen customer connections and align with our commitment to responsibility and authenticity.
Key Responsibilities
Global Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global marketing strategy, integrating PR initiatives, to drive Tom Wood's market expansion
- Align marketing and PR activities with company objectives, focusing on commercial growth, brand positioning, and customer loyalty
- Lead marketing and PR strategies that amplify Tom Wood's responsible and cultural positioning
Brand and Campaign Management
- Ensure all marketing and PR activities and campaigns reflect Tom Wood’s values and contribute to building a globally recognized brand
- Oversee brand identity and messaging across all channels, ensuring consistency with core brand DNA
- Oversee the development of innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse global audiences
Leadership and Collaboration
- Manage the Marketing and PR team, fostering creativity, innovation, and accountability within the departments
- Collaborate with the Creative Director and Head of Marketing to ensure marketing and design initiatives are cohesive and impactful
- Lead cross-functional initiatives, working closely with product development, wholesale, retail and e-commerce teams to ensure marketing strategies support all business channels
Performance Analysis and Budgeting
- Analyze marketing and PR performance metrics to ensure high ROI and effectiveness
- Develop and manage marketing and PR budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently
- Report regularly to the CEO, Creative Director and executive team on the performance of marketing strategies, market trends, and opportunities for improvement
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including strategic partners, collaborators, network and media
Key Qualifications
- Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in a senior marketing or CMO role, ideally within the luxury or fashion sectors
- Brand Vision: A visionary mindset with deep expertise in global brand dynamics, consumer engagement, and digital marketing
- Analytical Acumen: Data-driven and performance-focused, with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
- Team Empowerment: Strong leadership and motivational skills to manage and inspire a diverse, creative team
- Resource Management: Solid experience managing high-stakes marketing and PR budgets
