As a Commercial Director, you will lead our chartering operations and manage our vessel fleet contracts. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of chartering and fleet management, as well as building and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure the optimal deployment of vessels and services in alignment with our business strategy and profitability. The position will report to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the chartering function, focusing on developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients
• Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base and secure long-term contracts in the offshore wind sector
• Oversee the negotiation and execution of vessel charter contracts, ensuring they are profitable and aligned with company objectives
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer requirements to inform business strategies and keep the company at the forefront of industry developments
• Ensure that chartering decisions align with the company's financial and operational goals

Qualifications

• Proven experience in chartering or commercial management in the offshore or maritime sector, ideally within the offshore wind industry.
• Strong understanding of vessel chartering processes, contract management, and negotiation strategies.
• Experience in developing and maintaining key client relationships, including securing long-term contracts.
• Effective communication and leadership skills, excelling in both internal and external collaboration.
• Knowledge of cost management, profitability analysis, and budgeting.
