Team leader
In our Programs and Partnership department we are embarking on new challenges, and we are now looking for a team leader that will take on our growth ambition and lead a team within the Department.
The department consists of 18 committed colleagues, who together are responsible for the development, quality assurance and follow-up of Plan International Norway’s humanitarian and long-term development portfolio in cooperation with prioritized country offices, local partners, and donors.
The selected candidate will play an important role in strengthening our team and contribute towards increasing the quality of our international programs, in close cooperation with existing and new donors. Together with skilled and dedicated colleagues you will play an essential role in taking our program development to the next level, and and bring us closer to contributing to big scale solutions in our country portfolio.
Aboute the role:
We are looking for a highly qualified team leader with experience from development aid organizations or donors who can contribute to the strategic management of our current program portfolio, the department’s growth ambition and build a strong team
We believe this is a good description of you:
- Minimum Master’s Degree or equivalent in relevant field. Minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in building relationships with donors, grants management and fundraising. Thorough understanding of Norwegian institutional donors, and other key international development and humanitarian donors, particularly the EU (INTPA & ECHO) and the UN.
- Proven ability to lead processes. An inclusive and bold team builder that proactively makes change happen in accordance with Plan International Norway’s strategy and the department’s Action Plan.
- Knowledge about Plan Norway’s core thematic areas : Education, SRHR and child protection, Youth Economic Empowerment, Meaningful Youth Engagement, humanitarian response is an asset.
- Ability to develop trust among different multicultural groups and individuals. Workexperience from working in the Global South is an advantage.
- Fluency in Norwegian and English is required. Knowledge about other UN languages is a great asset.
