One of our fastest-growing verticals is retail, and we are now fully committed to transforming how consumers in Norway shop. Wolt operates in quick commerce —delivering products from local stores to customers' doors in as little as 30 minutes. We believe this will revolutionize e-commerce in Norway by making shopping faster, more convenient, and seamlessly integrated into everyday life. To take a leading role in this transformation, we are looking for a Head of Retail Partnerships to lead the sales and key account team and drive growth across our non-grocery retail verticals, including pharma, pets, flowers, electronics, and general merchandise, to mention a few.
As the Head of Retail Partnerships, you will be responsible for shaping and executing Wolt’s strategy for non-grocery retail in Norway. Here you will build and scale a high-potential business—developing market strategies, identifying new partnership opportunities, and driving key initiatives to strengthen Wolt’s position in the retail space. You will lead a team of business development and enterprise sales professionals and work closely with internal stakeholders to optimize our approach across different verticals. Your role will involve everything from designing and implementing best practices to managing high-impact projects that accelerate growth. In addition to defining the roadmap, you’ll also take ownership of Wolt’s largest non-grocery partnership, ensuring we create long-term value. What you’ll be doing:
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement market-specific strategies to drive Wolt’s growth in non-grocery retail.
- Business Ownership: Own the growth and profitability of our non-food retail portfolio
- Business Development & Acquisition: Identify new business and partnership opportunities, lead strategic growth initiatives, and build the industry leading selection for non-food retail in quick commerce
- Project Management: Own and execute high-impact acquisition and growth projects from A to Z, coordinating across teams globally and locally to develop new partnerships or accelerate the growth of existing partners.
- Market Insights & Analysis: Use data-driven insights and industry trends to refine strategies, mitigate risks, and optimize operations.
- Best Practices Development: Establish and refine processes for partnership development, operational efficiency, and go-to-market execution.
- Client Ownership: Manage relationships with our largest clients, building C-level relationships to ensure progress, strategic ownership and success through innovative solutions and exceptional service delivery.
- Leadership Development: Lead and develop a small team of self-driven senior enterprise sales and key account managers
Our humble expectations:
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated experience (10+ years) in management consulting, B2B sales or relevant industries, with a proven track record of strategic leadership and business development. Familiarity with retail, e-commerce, or FMCG sectors is advantageous but not required.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Structured approach to solving complex business challenges, leveraging analytical tools and insights to drive decision-making.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower teams, driving performance and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Proactive and adaptable mindset, thriving in a dynamic, scale-up environment where initiative and innovation are encouraged.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders effectively.
