Would you like to shape the future of Internal Audit in a global organization?
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President Internal Audit to lead our newly established Internal Audit function.
As VP Internal Audit, you will report functionally to the Chief People and Corporate Affairs Officer (CPCAO) and be accountable to the Board Audit Committee. This structure ensures the objectivity and autonomy of the internal audit function. The role is responsible for ensuring the independence and effectiveness of internal audit operations while aligning with best practices and industry standards.
You will play a critical role in risk assessment, audit planning, internal audit execution, and continuous improvement of our organization’s internal control environment, ensuring compliance with global regulations and frameworks such as the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and COSO.
Main responsibilities
- Establish, develop, and continuously enhance the global Internal Audit function, with a focus on digitalization
- Lead and manage internal audit teams, both in-house and co-sourced from external providers
- Oversee relationships with external co-sourcing partners
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit plans
- Execute internal audit projects using relevant methodologies and frameworks, staying up to date with developments in the field
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management and the Board, with direct access to the Board when necessary
- Manage and follow up recommendations and remediate actions
- Promote a strong internal control and compliance culture across the organization, working closely with governance, risk management and compliance teams
- Design and deliver relevant training programs to enhance internal audit and compliance awareness within the organization
Desired qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant roles within global organizations
- Expert-level knowledge of global audit standards and COSO principles
- Strong analytical and structured approach with excellent project management skills
- Proven ability to develop and execute a strategic vision for an Internal Audit function
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong collaboration skills, cultural awareness and influencing abilities
- Self-driven, adaptable and capable of engaging with diverse global stakeholders
- Strong ethical values and integrity
