Are you a passionate engineering student ready to dive into the world of offshore wind?
We are welcoming both bachelor's and master's students within marine, mechanical, structural, and
geotechnical disciplines to apply. Work location for the job is Oslo
Duties and responsibilities:
You will be working in our engineering department with various tasks. The job will primarily be to
structure data related to our previous and ongoing projects, and gather insights related to our operations.
The tasks will be established before, and during the internship, as relevant tasks will depend on the
candidates’ background and company needs at that time. Typical tasks will be:
- Gather, process, and evaluate time utilization from our vessels on various projects
- Assisting with 2D sketching in AutoCAD
- Working with vessel stability using the Autoload software
- Assist in one or more of Fred. Olsen's Windcarrier's ongoing projects
- Develop vessel schedules and weather downtime analysis
Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate who is in the process of starting their final year of study. Relevant areas for
specialization could be within marine, structural, mechanical, or geotechnical engineering.
An interest in marine operations will be considered a plus.

- Trustworthy and reliable
- Can work independently in combination with being an excellent team player with the ability to communicate within a team
- Curiosity and interest to actively deliver the best solution
- Pragmatic problem-solving
- Fluent in English and preferably communicative in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier operates three purpose-built jack-up vessels; Bold Tern, Brave Tern and Blue Tern. The vessels are specially designed to meet the offshore wind industry’s high operation and safety standards – but they can also support other offshore heavy lifting operations.
