In 2025, we want to have a strong team of guides who can help us give all our guests a five-star experience in Bergen.

We provide guaranteed work from May until October, with an opportunity to work for us at a limited capacity over the winter season.

We require:

-      Fluency in English

-      Fluency or an understanding of Norwegian, German, French or Spanish is a plus

-      Flexible working hours with availability to work on peak days in summer

-      Knowledge of Bergen and Norway is important

-      Friendly, personable personality with interest in meeting and talking to others

-      Excellent storytelling

-      Service-minded and outgoing

-      Punctual, reliable, and responsible

-      Able to work independently

-      We prioritise applicants who live in Bergen permanently.

Our tours include walking, special interest, and bus tours around the city. It is important to know the city centre (including landmarks, cafes, restaurants, and museums) and neighbourhoods (Troldhaugen, Fantoft, and hiking trails).

Successful candidates must participate in mandatory training throughout April before they can take tours from the 1st of May onwards.  

 Our guides must be registered as ENKs, meaning they are self-employed. We do this so you can work as much or as little as you want; we don’t set a schedule for you. You choose the tours you want to lead. This also means that you can supplement this job with another part-time job in Bergen or with studies.

Among your tasks will be:

-              Setting your own schedule and committing to the tours you wish to take

-              Meeting, leading and taking care of groups on our public and private tours

-              Following our tour routes but also customising it to your own interests

-              Provide information to guests so they can enjoy their stay in Bergen

-              Contributing to the improvement of our tours

-              Customising private tours to the clients requests

-              Committing to a full summer season

-              Opportunity to contribute to our blog and social media (at additional pay) and show your love of Bergen!

Potential applicants must be available to work at least 4 tours a week (each are approximately 2 hours long) and be available to work additional tours.
