Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) have a unique opportunity for a talented student currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. You'll work on various aspects in the management of our Fixed Income portfolios, from building apps, assisting with trade ideas, automation of workflow and help the team improve efficiency using AI. This role offers a great chance to experience the full spectrum of being involved in vibrant financial markets, use state-of-the-art solutions and apply tech to improve our investment decisions. We believe in learning by doing, and you'll be actively involved in projects from day one.

We offer flexibility with the start date for this position, though we prefer candidates who can begin between medio May or June.

What you will do

• Develop analytical tools and dashboards for the Fixed Income and FX Trading desk

• Design and implement data-driven frameworks to identify market patterns and trading opportunities

• Collaborate with traders to formulate and test trading hypotheses

• Enhance existing trading analytics framework

• Automate workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk

What you need

• Strong Python development skills with experience in financial data processing and analysis
  

• Genuine curiosity about financial markets and passion for exploring data patterns
  

• Experience with data science and machine learning libraries applied to time series data
  

• Minimum 2 years in a quantitative academic program with strong data science foundation
  

The position is part-time (40-60%), allowing you to balance work with your studies. You'll work 2-3 days per week with flexible hours to accommodate your academic schedule. The internship runs till the end of 2025, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement. You will be working from our Oslo Office.
