Arbeidsoppgaver

In the position of Northern Lights Guide / Driver, excellent guest service skills are of the utmost importance. As a guide, you are an educator, entertainer, coordinator and communicator all at once. You are friendly and approachable and able to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere while hosting your guests.

Your job is to carry out tours in small groups of up to 16 guests (occasionally full bus groups), including preparations and post-tour responsibilities. A background in photography is a must, whether as a hobby or (semi-)professional level. Although previous guide experience is greatly appreciated, it is not a must. Often, it is more important to have the right personality and motivation, as we can train you in all the other aspects of the job.

Tasks:

  • Guiding northern lights tours by van (7-8 guests), guide = driver.

  • Guiding northern lights tours by minibus (8-15 guests), guiding only.

  • Taking, editing and sending out photographs.

  • Pre-tour and post-tour preparations (preparing vehicle, preparing snacks and drinks, packing equipment, etc.).

  • Contribute to the ongoing learning and success of the team by sharing knowledge and passion.

As our main northern lights guide, you will teach and help other guides in improving their northern lights photography skills.

  • Performing other related duties as assigned. Guiding Igloo Hotel tours will be included in shifts on a regular basis.

Vi tilbyr

We offer:

  • An exciting and challenging position.

  • Good opportunities for professional and personal development.

  • Onboarding process with extensive training, before taking full control of the tour and equipment.

  • A workplace with a unique location by the Alta river - one of the world's most famous salmon rivers.
