Are you passionate about midwifery and excited by the prospect of being part of an innovative project that aims to transform maternity care?


We are seeking experienced midwives to join a dynamic team in a central location near Oslo for an exciting new project.


As part of this initiative, you will work closely with a dedicated team to provide comprehensive care to women throughout pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. This project embraces a holistic approach to maternity care, ensuring continuity and fostering strong, trusting relationships between midwives and their patients.


About the role:


You will be joining a well-established, multidisciplinary team within a supportive work environment. The job provides an opportunity to work across various areas of midwifery, including antenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum visits, and contraception counseling. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, professional growth and innovative approaches to care.


Key responsibilities:



  • Provide continuity of care to women during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum.



  • Support women during labor, either at home or in the hospital, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and professionalism.



  • Participate in antenatal care at health clinics, postpartum visits and provide contraception counseling.



  • Collaborate closely with other midwives and health professionals, ensuring excellent communication and teamwork.



  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and development of the project, with the potential to shape future maternity care practices.



Qualifications:



  • Authorization as a midwife in an EU-country.



  • Strong interest in providing holistic maternity care.



  • Experience in antenatal, birth, and postpartum care.



  • Additional training in breastfeeding support, mental health, or emergency obstetrics is a bonus.



  • Experience in providing contraception counseling, including the insertion of intrauterine devices is also a bonus.



  • A driver's license (Class B) is required.



  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with a strong motivation to learn Norwegian.



  • A clean criminal record must be documented through a police certificate in accordance with the Health Personnel Act.
