AutoStore is hiring a new Technical Concept Specialist

AutoStore is the pioneer of robotic cube storage systems and is constantly evolving as a company. We are changing the way goods and services are stored across the globe, and are pushing borders to increase efficiency, safety and develop new products for our customers.

We are now looking for an innovative and solution-oriented Technical Concept Specialist. You will be joining a team of mechanical engineers and work closely with committed and skilled colleagues across different projects, products and disciplines. As a Technical Concept Specialist, you will have a creative and autonomous role and play a central part in developing cutting-edge products.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will have an important role in transforming ideas and information into visual concepts for technical solutions in collaboration with the AutoStore teams. In this position you will contribute with innovative ideas and utilize the potential in our technological development processes. 

Your responsibilities will also include

• Develop and present concepts and sketches to project teams and management
  
• Analyze and conceptualize new business opportunities and functionalities for the AutoStore system
  
• Assessing potential patent overlap
  
• Contributing to other mechanical development tasks on demand 

YOUR PROFILE

Our new Technical Concept Specialist possesses both creativity and curiosity, along with the ability to make design proposals based on professional knowledge and logical reasoning. You have a broad experience and both a practical and theoretical understanding of mechanics/mechatronics.  

It is also crucial that you have

• +5 years of relevant experience
  
• Strong results in technical concept development
  
• The ability to take concepts from ideation to realization, and translating ideas into tangible designs or visualizations
  
• Good communication and collaborative skills
  
• The ability to analyze trends and needs for new product development
  
• Knowledge about production techniques

You will be reporting to the R&D Manager Mechanics in Nedre Vats or Oslo, depending on which location you will be working from.
