AutoStore is the pioneer of robotic cube storage systems and is constantly evolving as a company. We are changing the way goods and services are stored across the globe, and are pushing borders to increase efficiency, safety and develop new products for our customers.

We are now looking for a curious and solution-oriented Firmware Engineer. You will be joining a team of firmware engineers and work closely with committed and skilled colleagues across different projects and disciplines. As a Firmware Engineer in our team, you will have varied tasks in an environment that values each individual's contribution and development.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

As a Firmware Engineer at AutoStore, you’ll work broadly across projects and products within our R&D department in Nedre Vats and Oslo (Lysaker). You’ll be involved in the entire product lifecycle—from design, testing, and validation to production. With a focus on development, you’ll also take part in maintaining, coding, and improving existing solutions. This development-focused role allows you to contribute to new products and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will also include

  • Contributing to development in projects and product follow-ups
  • Design, implement, review and test solutions for our product portfolios
  • Participate to deliver products with a high focus on quality

YOUR PROFILE

For this role, we are looking for someone with a few years of experience and a strong drive to learn and grow their firmware expertise. To thrive in this role, we believe you are well-versed in embedded systems principles and are motivated by contributing to innovative firmware solutions across diverse projects and disciplines

It is also important that you have

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Cybernetics/Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related field
  • Strong skills in Git, Embedded C/C++, and Python
  • Experience with designing and developing reusable firmware libraries and modules
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Practical experience in mechanics and electronics is a plus

You will be reporting to the R&D Manager Firmware in Nedre Vats or Oslo, depending on which location you will be working from.
