Certification Lead

Nofence is a Norwegian scale up who has built the world’s first virtual fencing solution for livestock. As we aim to revolutionise livestock management we will need top-notch competence in our NPI (New Product Introduction) team, and we are now looking for a Certification Lead. Your role
NPI is part of our Product & Engineering department which design and develop the mechanics of our physical product and the electronics that goes into it. We develop the firmware that runs on the device and the cloud service it communicates with. We design and develop the mobile and web apps that our customers use. In short, there’s a lot of exciting work to be done, and by joining us you will be one of our keys to success! We are seeking an Certification Lead to take ownership of compliance for our product portfolio.

The main responsibilities for this role will be:

• Securing that the Nofence products are certified according to relevant standards and regulations for all our geographical markets. This includes the hardware, but also making sure our software/firmware/cloud solution are compliant with the latest cybersecurity and other potential relevant standards.
• Scope and understand any local animal welfare laws and regulations that may impact our product.
• Work closely with test and certification houses to get quotes, plan, and execute the certification process.
• Make sure that all new products are designed in order to meet relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
• Stay up to date on all future changes to existing standard and potentially new standards that are relevant to Nofence’s products.
• Read standards that applies to and be able to extract the relevant parts that applies to our product and communicate that to the teams building the products.
• Make sure all our documentation with respect to certification and compliance is up to date and stored in the relevant place.

The right candidate is preferred to have the following qualifications:

• Relevant Bachelor or Masters degree, or equivalent.
• Relevant experience may compensate for missing relevant degree.
• Experience with compliance of hardware products.
• Experience with development of IOT or telecom devices for rough environments.
• Enjoy working in an autonomous cross-functional team.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Self driven and suited for taking responsibility and securing progress in a scale up.
• Fluent English oral and written communication skills. Our working language is English.
• Experience with agricultural products would be an advantage.
