NEEDED guide-driver for Tourism for people with disabilities

We are looking for guide-driver to work on our company.

We are the only accessible tourism agency working in Tromsø. Our mission is to create comfortable and accessible activities to everyone visiting Tromsø, regardless of any disability or accessibility requirement.

To apply for the position it is a requirement to already have a valid Passenger carrying vehicle (PCV) driver's licence (kjøreseddel in Norwegian)

Experience guiding tours in Tromsø and/or in the Arctic region is preferred. What you definitely need is a desire to work with people with disabilities, and other travellers who may have other specific accessibility requirements.

We are looking for a competent person to go on our tours, and to help our guests on their activities. Previous knowledge of working with people with disabilities will be greatly appreciated.

It is important to have an orientation to customer service, and always be willing to do the extra effort. Customers of accessible tourism are commonly persons with disabilities, who may require assistance beyond simple guiding needs.

You will have proper training on accessibility and person with disabilities. And also about guiding, and the typical tours of Tromsø.

The position offered is part time for the duration of the winter. There will be a possibility to do other tasks in the office, if the person is up for that.

The work will be done in shifts of varied time durations and different days of the week. The shifts will be adjusted to everyone's availability and comfort, following the requirements fo the company.

• Have a Norwegian or European driver's license.

• Have a valid kjøreseddelfor Norway.

• Be active and like to go outdoors.

• Must speak English.

• Extra languages a BIG bonus.

• Being in Tromsø is not required, but you must be willing to move immediately.
