We are currently seeking a gynecologist for a senior consultant position at the gynecology/maternity departments in Sandnessjøen and Mo i Rana. We can offer a position without shifts and we can facilitate a flexible rotation schedule. If you have special interests within the field, we can provide development opportunities.

Helgeland is currently experiencing rapid development in industry both on land and at sea and is in the midst of the green shift.

Helgeland Hospital covers a large geographical area and has locations in all 4 cities Sandnessjøen, Brønnøysund, Mosjøen, and Mo Rana. There is a maternity unit in Brønnøysund and independent gynecology/maternity departments in Sandnessjøen and Mo i Rana with approximately 300 births per year at each location. Helgeland Hospital is an approved educational institution for specialization in obstetrics and gynecology, and each department has two positions for doctors in specialization (residents) in addition to five senior consultant positions.

Job duties

• Varied gynecological outpatient clinic
• Antenatal clinic
• Obstetrics

• Supervision and teaching of resident physicians (LIS - "Lege i spesialisering")

Qualifications

• Norwegian specialist certification in obstetrics and gynecology
• It is desirable that you have extensive experience in the field
• Experience in endoscopy is an advantage
• You must be proficient in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language
