We're looking for a Senior Android Developer to join Oda! 

As a Senior Android Developer, you'll play a key role in developing our customer-facing Android apps for Oda and Mathem. You’ll be part of our cross-functional Shopper Platform team, working closely with designers, product managers, and fellow developers to build new features that our users love. Your expertise will help shape discussions around new features, contribute to API design, and lead the architecture and implementation of our Android codebase.

We’re looking for someone with strong technical leadership skills, someone who can guide larger projects across teams, make smart technical decisions, and provide valuable feedback to your colleagues. What you’ll be doing as Senior Android Developer

• Shape the future of our Android app; plan, develop, and maintain features that improve the experience for tens of thousands of users.

• Write high-quality Kotlin code; clean, well-tested, and easy to maintain for long-term success.

• Make an impact with smart decisions; balance reliability, scalability, and security while keeping things simple.

• Create beautiful, user-friendly UI; use Jetpack Compose to build flexible, high-quality components that bring our design system to life.

• Keep the app running smoothly; fix bugs, monitor performance with Crashlytics, and deploy hotfixes when needed.

• Streamline releases; use CI/CD to build, publish, and roll out updates to the Play Store seamlessly.

• Collaborate with other developers; share insights, give and receive feedback in code reviews, and work together to build the best possible product. This position is based in Oslo, and we’d love for you to join us in the office at least a couple of days a week to stay connected with the team.

What you’ll need to succeed 🌟

• At least 5 years of experience with Android and Kotlin, including Kotlin Coroutines.

• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK, REST APIs, localization, dependency injection, accessibility, version control, Gradle build system, and CI/CD.

• Experience with modern UI development, especially using Jetpack Compose, and building flexible, easy-to-maintain UI components for different brands, screen sizes, and light/dark modes.

• You can write stable, reliable code and are familiar with using Crashlytics to track app performance.

• Experience with the Google Play Console and managing the full app release cycle, from merging code to rolling out updates to customers.

• Familiar with MVVM and Clean Architecture and passionate about creating solid, scalable app architecture.

• Comfortable giving and receiving feedback through code reviews in GitHub and enjoy collaborating with others in your team.

• English is our working language, so it's important that you're comfortable communicating in English.
