Unlike earlier Definitive Collection box set pressings with the left side access flap, this release has a slip-off box top. The bottom box piece has a notch cut out of the top section to allow easy retrieval of the disc jackets.

The directory booklet is stored at the bottom of the box, set within a foam pad cut to fit.

The "Making of Trilogy" gatefold interior features two large grayscale images from "Star Wars" - Luke, Leia, Chewbacca and Han (Left Panel) and R2-D2 and C-3PO (Right Panel).

2 additional discs containing the 3 "making of" replace the hard-bound book on this reissue of [PILF-1757].

Side 6 of each movie (extras, 80min.): CAV, full screen, no subtitles, LD-G 1# & #2, mono, English in digital, Japanese in analog.

Disc 1 to 9 are in standard jackets, 3 discs (one movie) per jacket.

Discs 11 & 12 (Making of a Trilogy, 145min.): CLV, full screen, subtitled, no LD-G, mono, in gatefold jacket.
