The Vitra Maharam Polder sofa designed by Hella Jongerius in 2012 is a limited edition sofa with only one hundred pieces ever made. Jongerius combined several textiles (Maharam fabric upholstery, tweed, wool and mixed hardwood),including those from her own embroidered Layers and Borders collections for Maharam. The piece also highlights Exaggerated Plaid from Paul Smith. The sofa comes with a belted Queens cushion, which was originally designed for a Polder commissioned by the Netherlands Queen Beatrix.
