Far across the world-sea from Ionia and the rolling hills of our forebearers, is the continent of Meropis. It exists outside of time, where the giants who inhabit it live twice as long as a mortal, and humans who are washed ashore find themselves in a world, mirrored from Ionia, but wild and different. The fields and hills are lusher, the forests darker, the mountains starker, the oceans colder. The rain falls a bit harder,

and the snow chills a bit deeper. The sun shines brighter, and the crops grow faster.
