Roar Bjorg was a Norwegian sculptor and goldsmith, born on September 18, 1912, in Oslo. He is known for his clear and simplified forms in sculpture. Together with his wife, he ran a jeweler’s shop in Oslo. Some of his notable works include a memorial for fallen Norwegian airmen at North Weald in London (1952) and the Nordahl Grieg monument at Den Nationale Scene in Bergen (1954–1957)12.
