Cold Steel Viking Battle Axe Custom made

I customized the best Viking replica from Cold steel to look like a battle testet axe from the past.

I removed the coating of the wood handel and mixed my own colour blend to get the used look i head in mind then soaked it with linolje and let it dry 32 times. That makes the wood water resistant for the next couple years + it will be super difficult to dent the wood. I grind groves in the wood for better grip and flamme it to get the black color. Then i fit the head to the handel and wrap the upper part around the axe head for better look, and the top of the handel got a black leather topping to match the handel and extra protection.

The Axe handel is 55.5 cm from end to end and 64cm from handel to blade tip + ca. 870g Light/heavy in total.

I removed the horrible Black paint from the axe head and give it a gun metal grey appearance what also protect the head from fast rusting.

It is lot of time consuming work but the end result is worth it.
