When you receive it, break the seal on the SSD box, ensure you are free of static electricity, insert the new SSD into the unplugged, empty Orico housing, screw it down, add the thermal pad & housing, and close the enclosure again. Plug the cable in and you have an incredibly fast storage disk!

WHY AM I SELLING?

I bought two SSDs (but only opened one) as well as the enclosure. Whilst it's well-made and reliable, the glowing light in the enclosure is distracting for my work as a professional video editor as it changes colour continuously when in use. I've changed to a more basic enclosure. The enclosure has been used for no more than 2hrs in total to test it. I've removed the old SSD I had in there, and now it's empty, as when I bought it, ready for you to install the supplied new 2TB SSD.

ABOUT THE SPEED TEST IMAGE:

The result was with an identical Crucial P3 Plus 2TB SSD tested in this Orico housing with a 5GB file transfer on a Mac in APFS format and the USB-C cable Orico supplies. You may get a different result depending on your computer. USB-A will be much slower. Even with USB-C you will never get the theoretical maximum of 5000MB/sec; 2600 is a good result and about 6x faster than a SATA3 SSD connected by USB2.1

I can supply copies of the receipts for purchase (in Australia in September) but it's up to you to check whether the warranty is valid in Norway. We will test it when you collect it.
